Should I start playing Metal Gear Solid? No

Metal Gear Solid is one of the most popular franchises of all time. Especially in the PS4 communities, including the Access PlayStation YouTube channel that is extremely popular, MGS is the most prominent game that is repeatedly mentioned on pretty much all of the videos.

That kind of makes me want to play the game. Sadly it’s not really my kind of game.

I got Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes for free as part of my PlayStation Plus membership. I downloaded it with high hopes, but couldn’t finish the very first mission (in the military area, something about breaking someone free?).

I loved the gameplay, the graphics looked great, but it’s a game that has to be played in stealth mode. I don’t do very well in stealth games. If you recall, I’m a lazy gamer. Even medium difficulty pisses me off. I kept dying on the very first mission of Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes.

As you might have expected, the game soon found its way out of my PS3 storage.

It’s kind of difficult not to play the game that so many people — almost everyone — are talking about. I was this close to buying the latest game, The Phantom Pain, but I resisted myself from doing so. Because I know I won’t be able to play the game.

I’m not hardcore enough to play the MGS series. At least, not yet. :3

Are you a Metal Gear Solid? What aspect of the game, except the stealth mode, that you enjoy about it?

  1. it really depends on what type of games you like, I have also heard that their is a rare copy on the gamecube, but I don’t know if it is true or not

    1. Hmm. I know it’s not my type of games. But I really wish it were. Since obviously it’s such a good franchise, it would be awesome if I could get myself in the habit of having patience to play a stealth game. 😦
